Alban Arthan (Yule, Winter Solstice) - Rebirth of the Sun. Longest night of the year, but the days begin to get longer. Between Alban Arthan and Alban Hefin (Litha - the summer solstice) is the power of the God of the Waxing Year. There are 13 days of Yule, each tied in with the 13 sacred trees. Mistletoe is sacred to the God of the Waxing Year, as Holly is sacred to the God of the Waning Year. Traditional Yule incense is Balsam, Frankincense and Myrrh.
